How Long Did It Take You to Conceive?

Sorry for being one of "those" people. I didn't realize that you guys were trying so hard at the time or I wouldn't have said anything.

Hey, it wasn't just you - and I never really knew you before you were pregnant... The WORST was one of my friends in Australia - she had been bugging me about having a baby and we were trying but she didn't know we were trying... and given that she had a 2-3 month old, one time when she was bugging me, I said to her "I'll probably be pregnant before YOU fall pregnant again!!" But I wasn't - and because she didn't know I was trying, she told me like "Beat you, ha ha, hurry up already!!" which I didn't react well to

But hey, I do think that I'm a stronger person having to "struggle" somewhat to fall pregnant... so I wouldn't change it... Maybe there's a reason why now's a better time than a year ago... *shrugs*

Probably.... I think all that matters is that you got pregnant, you like being pregnant (well, probably for the most part, right?) and you are happy at the prospects of being a mother. I would have given almost anything to have all those stars lined up for me. I hope that everything goes awesome--you're really nearing the "finishing" (read: "beginning") line!

2-4 weeks for me. I was really surprised!

Took 1-3 months to conceive the first three times but all ended in miscarriage within the first trimester ... devastating. The fourth pregnancy was a happy surprise, after a gap of 3 years of trying and our becoming resigned to infertility.

It took me and my husband 2-4 weeks. We used the clear blue ovulation strips.

15 months we'd just started infertility testing, I'm convinced it was the HSG I had done that did it as we conceived the same month!

Two months for us. I used a fertility monitor and a MaybeBaby saliva tester.

4 months...we used the clear blue ovulation strips and i took my temperature.

First time- 3 years of all failed (6-7)IUI and (2)IVF and then conceived naturally. Second time- 1 cycle. Yes, I don't think women who have trouble conceiving would take this poll. I am less emotional now but those 3 years were the hardest emotionally and would have never taken this poll before. I used Toni Weschler's book- "Taking Charge of your Fertility".

Still trying - 21 cycles but still no joy. I keep trying to be positive and am now looking into travelling to Thailand for treatment. Nowhere for me to tick on the survey though - maybe one day.
