what do you do with your kids over the summer?

I will look for a camp for DD. I really like her to join some enrichment programs. But I also feel more and more that just having fun is not good enough for kids. I have a plan this summer vocation, making sure to keep a balance between work and rest for DD. DD’s teacher recommended a website beestar.org to me. She said its summer session was great. She can do math and reading worksheets on it. And the nice summer camp is definitely the rest part. So DD can prepare for the next grade level in fall while she’s having fun in the summer camp. :o

Sorry to hijack your thread, capital, but I wonder if anyone has had any experience with ESF summer schools? Would like to hear any comments esp for the 3-5yr olds. Thanks all!

We did the Sports camp about 3 yrs ago. D enjoyed it, but there were so many kids. And some of the coaches are really young with very little experience.

We prefer the sports camp at HK Cricket Club. It's 4 hrs and its run by their regular coaches. You do need a member to sign you up.

Thanks Rani, sounds interesting. Will check it out. However, wonder if anyone has had any experience with the language camp at ESF?

Hi. Just had a look at the Stanford swim website. Do they only do classes in English at the Korean school? Also, I am looking for stuff to do for my kids (4 and 2) some afternoons (especially swimming lessons, but would also like gymnastics or dance), but the only things I can find are weekends. We try to have family time at weekends, and have already signed them up for one thing on Sat mornings because that is all I can find. Any suggestions? We live in Tai Po so NT or at least Kowloon would be best. Thanks.

Thanks. They only had a pdf in English for the Korean International School which is why I wondered. I will call them.

Angie have you looked at MyGym? They have weekday classes in the afternoon. There is one in Hung Hom so easy to get to by mtr
