My little girl got in ESF Shatin Junior learning support ... finally a school that embraces her ADHD. She will start P1 coming August.

I do hope ESF will increase SEN spaces. There are a lot of children waiting and other schools will not accept them because of the lack of resources or schools that really doesn't care about learning differences.

I am still waiting for learning support to open for my son. Hopefully he will get support soon for his language delay, auditory processing plus possible dyslexia.

ychia76 : Does your little one have ADHD or ASD? reading some of your previous posts, I thought she had something else.

Did you ever look into/consider Harbour School or HKA ?

howardcoombs: My girl is officially diagnosed with ADHD. She has sensory issues which cause her behaviors to be like ASD, but then there are a lot of crossover symptoms that would cause the same type of behaviors especial when it comes to transitioning from one environment to another or one activity to another activity, her tantrums definitely is less than before and she seemed to adjust well considering were she was at before.

I have actually contacted Harbour School and HKA for my son. He is on waiting list with HKA. Harbour School declined my son after looking at his report but that was last year so I may submit a current one coming July after his assessments are completed. With Harbour School, initially they said that he needed ABA, but he also has sensory issues. He has been going to OT and ST twice weekly and he has come a long way and I think he is ready for primary school.
