swimming lessons for young children?

My older daughter is 4 and she loves going "swimming" but doesn't actually know how to swim or hold her breath under water etc. (I've tried to teach her, but she resists from me.) I would like to put her in swimming lessons this summer but have no idea where to look for a good instructor that we can afford. It can be private classes or with other kids, it doesn't matter. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Highly recommend the swimming classes at ESF. We go to South Island school.
