School Busses

I've been concerned and disappointed about the service our school bus provides. They are harsh in speaking to the children, often late (or 20 minutes early!), and today my son was bruised as the bus mother pulled him over a safety bar/arm rest. There's a language issue, but I've communicated that I will put my children in the seat. There is a tug-of-war every morning! I just don't want my children to start and end their school day in tears and pain.

I don't have a car, so driving is not an option. I have two children ages 4 and 7 in two schools in opposite directions, so it's a bit tough to be at two places at once. What are other options? The current bus service is through a contract with the school. Could I hire a bus service privately? Does anyone know of a company or car service?

Any way you can call the bus company and complain? When my son was at Kindy, they changed bus drivers and got a young Speedy Gonazles. He would drive off before the little ones were seated and belted up. Things did improve once a few of us complained.

Complaints filed with both the school and service, but just wanted to know if there were any other practical options. Next year the guys will be in the same location, but this year may be trying...
