Pillows in the Cot

Sorry, but can anybody tell me why no pillows for babies under 12 months (?)??? (Sorry, I'm expecting my first one in July)

they could suffucate themselves as they might not have the muscles to turn their head.

but, i have yet to meet a child over 10-12 months that didn't have enough muscle control to lift his head...
