Just a reminder to have your helper renew her passport in good time. And, if you are hiring new helper, particularly one already in HK, to check the expiration date.
The Philippine Consulate is open on Sundays, for helpers who have to work during the week. However, the last few weeks have been closed for various reasons -- Easter, Philippine elections. My new helper went today, but found out she needs to go back next week to get her photo taken. (Why they can't do both at one time is beyond me). And, after that, it's about a month processing time.
So, to be extra sure, leave 6-8 weeks for the whole process.
