Party Venue Ideas

How many kids are you planning on inviting? Have you looked at Playtown at the Belcher's or Cheeky Monkey in Chai Wan?

Thanks. Not sure on numbers yet. At least 5 kids with parents but was more looking for venue to then sort out kids. Will take a look at playtown and CM although I have been told that Playtown is very $$$

Craftbox

I used Craftbox for my 4 year olds birthday Party. It was extremely easy and very well organized. I loved that I could choose different craft activities to suit everyone and every age at the party. Everything came packaged with very simple instructions and there was enough of every activity that the children could make one or two of the same item. The children were kept busy with very little input from me during the party, and the clean up after was very straight forward and painless. I would use Craftbox again with out hesitation (my 8 year old son even loved it!). Good luck with your decision!:)

Thanks KatrinaCWB for the feedback on Craftbox. It sounds good for us as we have at least one boy and I am sure he does not want to do a necklace!

Craft Box

I used Craft Box "party in a box" for my 6 year old daughter and 11 friends. It was fantastic - really well organised and professional, and took all the stress out of the day. There were 4 craft activities that the kids were able to do with minimal supervision, and the kids were really proud of what they'd done (it was cool stuff as well, really great quality). My daughter was delighted with her party. I'd definitely recommend them. Website is www.craftbox.asia

KatrinaCWB and kphillip your feedback on Craftbox sounds very interesting. I checked their website already but still have one query:

Does Craftbox send someone to your party venue to teach the kids the craft activities or they just send the materials to you?

Please let me know as I'm wondering whether Craftbox can replace a party entertainer.

Thanks!

Probably too late for your party, but I used Craftbox for a party of 10. They advise you have a person at each table for each craft activity. We has 6 activities but not enough people. So we set up 3 tables with an adult each. We finished the first 3 (the ones that took longer to dry) then moved on to the next 3. This worked out ok. You definitely need an adult with them. They were 7yr old girls and many concentrated well and followed the initial instructions but a few were all over the place and didn't concentrate well. If we had left them alone at a craft table I could see it all going wrong very quickly. It kept them busy for nearly 2 hrs, but I was exhausted after!

Would love to see Craftbox, wonder if there is anything for younger ones?

If your kids are into cooking, you can join cooking parties at Little Academy. www.littleacademy.com.hk My friend did one for her 3 year old, and the kids made apple tart. They can start parties for 2 years old.

They offer different menu selections etc. Have fun!

My 3 year old loved the Craftbox crafts. He needed help with the plaster and the small beads were too hard, so he used up the bib beads instead. He was more into it than a few of the 7 year olds! I think they can help to choose crafts suitable for any age.
