Mums - new in DB

Hi we are going to be living in DB from JAn 2007 and was wondering if there any other mums new to DB? I have a 18 month old girl and we are coming over from the UK.
Im hoping to meet people who already live there but would also be nice to meet other mums new to the area, same boat situation!

i'm canadian. i've been in HK for 11+ years and the last 6 of those in DB. My son is 20 months and i have another one-a girl- due in early march next year.

love to get together with you when you arrive.
 
Don't worry phs....

It's very easy to make new friends once you're here :) I myself have lived here for the past 6 years. If you just take your daughter down to plaza to hang out, I'm sure you can meet some 'old and new' mothers .....

thank you for the replies, i shall hook up with you nearer the time carang. I will be in DB in Jan so once im there i'll write again we can meet, or if you have a contact?

Im sure hanging around the plaza we will meet other mums and make friends.
I also have to get my daughter signed up to some classes when im there like kindermusik etc.

Im sure we will meet lots of people and make many friends! we're in DB tomorrow looking at some places to live i have selected a few so hopefully tomorrow we can decide on one! ANyway see you all in January.

New to DB

Hi Phs, Merichan

We just arrived in DB last week, with our 17 month old boy. I'd be keen to catch up when you arrive. It helps to meet others who are going through the settling in phase too.

So far DB has really impressed me as far as being a great, relaxed and safe place for families.

Carang, if you're keen - I'd love to meet for a coffee as I have a few questions and it would be good to talk to someone in the know.
 
Hey Gizzy! I'd love to! My son can always use playmates.
I'm actually going into hospital tomorrow for a few days, nothing too traumatic, just having a lot of problems with my hips this pregnancy. I should be in for 2 or 3 days. Maybe on Friday? We could meet down at the plaza for a coffee?

I'll let you know when i get out...
