Matilda vs Canossa

Hi Everyone,

I have interim bookings at both hospitals. Before I pay the deposit, I would love your opinion / exprience at these 2 places. Since this is my first baby, I have no prior exprience at these hospitals.

Any feedback is apprecidated, thanks in advance!!
 
Both times I gave birth at Matilda, which were great experiences, no complaints. I have not visited the maternity ward at Canossa, but we go there regularly as our doctor is the head pediatrician there. Both of my kids have been admitted to the pediatric ward at Canossa on separate occasions, so I've spent the night with them there. Based on that, I would say that the in-room facilities are similar, and the staff are just as friendly and helpful. However, there seems to be something about Matilda that makes it extra "comfortable" and "luxurious". Perhaps the view and fresh air?
 
Yep Matilda gets my vote hands down....I didn't want to leave :). Great staff, very comfortable, luxurious and relaxing, was like a mini holiday....and the food is great too!
 
My husband has been an in-patient at Canossa several times and Matilda wins hands down as better in every way.

Except perhaps location depending on where you live, it is a bit of a pain going up and down the hill for family).
 
My son had a minor operation at Canossa and although the staff were fine (and admittedly it was not comparing the maternity wards), the maternity ward at Matilda is excellent and the midwives amazing. Bear in mind that Canossa is having major renovations/new building at the moment (not to say that Matilda won't be renovating by the time you are there). Would vote for Matilda myself.

Out of interest, are the comparable in price?
