Looking for a Montessori School

My son currently attends a Montessori school in Tokyo and as it looks like we will be in Hong Kong next year I need to know about the schools there.

He will be turning 4 in April, but is already reading, adding, subtracting, giving detailed descriptions, and is the same height as most 5 year olds. We would prefer an accredited Montessori so any information you can give me would be great.

You can try Woodland Pre-Schools, there are something like ten locations all over Hong Kong Island and one in Sai Kung. They are supposed to be accredited too! You can find them on the internet, they look very professional. Good luck!

You should definitely look at the International Montessori School of Hong Kong and Casa De Bambini. Both on HK Island.

Not all the Woodlands schools are Montessori. I think only 2 or 3 are.

We may be moving to Tokyo early next year. Can you let me know the Montessori school you sent your child to there. I assume you are a believer in the Montessori method, but are there other schools you would recommend. My son is 3.5 and going to Casa dei Bambini . Joanna, the owner and principal, is very approachable and you can email her to discuss your son. I suggest trying to touch base with schools early as sometimes there are very few spots open.

another one in stanley

my boy has been studying in Montessori for Chilrdren in Stanley, Hong Kong since he's 2.5 years old. He's been tehre for 2 years now. This school has been run for 20 years. You can check it out at http://www.montessori.edu.sg. It has schools in Singapore and Canada too. That's why the web address is .sg. But you can find the information about the HK school there.

My son attends Montessori School of Tokyo (MST) and loves it. The sunshine program is for students age 3-6 and has elementary and upper elementary classes as well. Highly recommend and is located in central Tokyo (in Minami Azabu).
