Kowloon and beyond

Hi we are moving to HK in 6 - 8 weeks and we have been offered a P1 place in Hong Lok Yuen IS. My husband will be working in Kowloon.

Can anyone tell me what areas we should be looking at for living. Most posts I can find concentrate on HK Island which I just cannot see being an option.

We would be looking at Kowloon Tong and further north and out to Clearwater Bay etc. Anywhere in this area is a consideration.

You could live in Hong Lo Yuen, but you would need a car.
There are expats scattered around the MTR line, so Tai Po (again probably need a car), Fo Tan (probably could go without a car), Shatin, Kowloon. Lots of stuff near Festival Walk.
