Kellett uniform - what do i need?

Hi
I have twins starting reception at Kellett in September and as we are in the UK right up until when they start school i need to get their school uniforms pre-ordered. I have the list from the school but can someone let me know what from this list I actually need to get them started as I will be taking a risk on sizes etc ordering from here. I notice there are various sports kit options, hat options, shorts vs trousers etc etc.....plus rain coats and stuff. If someone could provide a definative list of what is actually compulsory and which of the options are the practical ones i'd love to hear! Also any advice on sizing - the twins turned 4 this week and are tall for their ages - i usually buy them age 5 or even occassionally age 6 stuff here, but don't want to make assumptions on their uniform as i want to get the best fit possible.
Thanks

Firstly, Congratulations on getting places at Kellett! I know how you were worried about getting any school place at all.
I'm not entirely certain on this but I think you will find that the majority of the uniform has to come from Kellett uniform stores and not from a generic store. It might be best to wait until you are here to purchase uniform - all the schools have their uniform store open in the holidays to purchase for the new term.

Thanks notmyaisle
We were delighted to get spaces at Kellett and were also offered CNDIS so was a lovely choice to have, and goes to show all my panicing was for nothing!
It is the specific Kellett list that i have - supplied from their school uniform shop - that i can pre-order from and get my hubbie to collect in advance of our arrival - i can't really wait till we get there as the twins will almost literally be walking off the red eye flight into school (and two weeks late for the start of term at that) so at the very least i need them kitted out with the basic uniform for their first day. It's really the different options i want clarity on - do i need to purchase both kinds of hat? All variations on sports kit etc etc - no problem if i do, but a waste of money if infact that isn't the case, and no where on the list does it make that clear.
Anyone know?
Thanks!

AS nobody else has provided an answer I can only go on my experience and say that for things like hats are an either/or. Our school has either legionnaire cap or cricketer style to choose from, for example. I would assume the shorts v trousers are the summer v winter options. A rain coat and a hat is usually compulsory. TBH I would call the school for clarification on what is absolutely required. As the weather is still very warm in Aug/Sep/Oct I wouldn't worry about getting long pants and sweatshirts for PE yet.
If memory serves correct I think I bought a couple of shirts and a couple of skorts (girls short/skirt combo), 1 x PE top and shorts, raincape and hat for the first couple of months and then bought additional pieces as we went on.
How do Kellett size their uniform? ESF start theirs at 24, 26, 28 etc and my then 5 year old started in the smallest as she's quite petite.

Thank you for that - i actually got (unprompted) a different list through on e-mail from the school today which makes it much clearer - explains what is an either/or and what is compulsory. I'm still going to have to guess on sizes but at least they will be in the right clothes, and they have provided some measurements to help take the guesswork out of it!

Kellett Uniform

Congratulations on making the Kellett cut!
My twins are about to finish the Reception year at Kellett and go to P1. Unfortunately there is no cheap way here and as you know by now twins cost twice as much! I have boys and have now reseigned myself that I will have to be buying a lot of new stuff every year. I understand from my friends that the same does not apply to girls necessarily!! Here's the list of what I bought last year for each boy:
2 shirts
2 PE T-shirts
1 pair of shorts
1 pair of PE shorts (as those are white you will definately need to replace them every year)
1 pair of long pants
1 pair of long PE tracksuit bottoms
1 fleece
1 bag
1 hat (any of the two is fine)
1 apron

You can always add during the year or even buy the summer stuff only and add the winter stuff later. The uniform shop is open once a week.

Hope this is helpful.

Good luck

Thank you Eugenie that is super helpful - i'll start with your list (my twins are also boys) and then can add to if necessary once we are out in HK.
Many thanks
Ps - how do you find sizings of the uniform - does it come up big/small/normal?

I think it goes by size number ie. 26, 28 etc. My boys are sort of average height and build and 26 still fits them nicely 9 months on.
