My 5yr old son is currently studying at KCIS. We applied to an ESF school after hearing that the school had better school facilities and range of extra curr activities like drama, arts, sports etc. KCIS pales in comparison in these areas and we had compromised these for the "initial belief" of a better Mandarin curr and environment at KCIS.
Now the dilemma... my son was recently accepted to attend Quarry Bay School. After his 'successful interview', I had wanted to find out more about the school, ie the timetable, class cohort, exact curriculum etc etc. The admissions secretary was unbelivingly most unaccomodating.
Whilst my son was having 'his interview', my hubby took the opportunity to 'check out' CIS as it was just across the road. We were curious as the school campus looks alot more "impressive" as compared to QBS. Also, whilst I was standing outside the school for appox 10mins, I didnt hear a word of Cantonese or Chinese being uttered by the many students that were passing thru. All spoke good English with no local accent.
I tried searching for more feedback about these schools and found more negative comments about QBS and KCIS.
Would sincerely appreciate if anyone can advise on KCIS, QBS or CIS.
Since CIS is totally closed, my current options are;
a) stay at KCIS and apply for my son to join next year's term
b) forget about CIS and join QBS
c) stay put at KCIS
Urgent feedbacks are much obliged as sch starts next Mon!
