ISF Academy

Anyone have experience with the ISF Academy in Wan chai? Are they local international school?

I just found they are building their new campas next to the cyberport in Pok Fu lam. Anyone knows more detail?

Does anyone know what's going to happen to ISF's old campus in Wanchai after they are moved? I heard at one point that they were starting a Kindergarten section there but their management confirmed to me a couple of months ago that they will not be using the same premise for their kindergarten. Does anyone know who will take up the space?

I went to an ISF seminar recently. It is a local school but using IB for teaching and they won't go for the local public exams.

What are the strong points of the school, in comparison to other international schools like C.I.S. Singaporean Int'l?

Isf

I heard about ISF in a very round about way. I went to a seminar at Kinder U on right brain development and they mentioned the inadequacies of most HK schools (both international and local) in meeting high academic standards. ISF and Singapore International were one of the few exceptions.

If anyone has more information on ISF, please do share.

Went to see the school and the open day. Very impressed by the kids, trully billingual and very confident even those in Primary 1 (ie those who have just a couple of months with the school only). I have decided to enroll my son to their Primary 2 in Sept07.

We will be moving to HK next year from the UK and our son will be 4 by then. Quite impressed with the philosophy of ISF. He doesn't understand Chinese (neither cantonese nor mandarin) but my husband and I are very keen for him to learn. Does anyone know whether ISF is helpful/receptive to children who are totally new to the Chinese language? Does anyone has children currently attending the school who didn't speak Chinese at first but then slowly learn the language?
