My husband and I are considering sending our daughter to International Christian School in Kowloon (NT).

So far, we've only heard good things about the school, but we would be grateful for any more feedback/ comments from others.

Thanks!

ICS is not an IB school. In fact, it's a Christian school, quite heavy focus on religious learning, coverage everyday.

Academically is GOOD. Love and care teachers. They were taught Jolly Phonics since kinder. 2 Chinese lessons in a cycle. Strong focus in reading and music.

When they are up to Grade 1, will be having quite some homework and 3 Chinese lessons in a week. Maths education is relatively slow but it's typical in int'l school.

Apart from academic, I wish the school could organize more activities and events for children to explore more. However, there are not many after-school activities. Most whole school events like fund-raising, field trips, winter concert were not organized. I hope they could put more attention on this area.

We are considering the school for Elementary, starting in Sept 2010.

Thanks again for your precious feedback.

Chinese teaching is only in elementary, not in kinder at all. I dont want to cause any misleading.

Good luck to your application.

Only my 50 cents. :)

My child is born in HK but with a US citizenship. I am sending her to local school now but hopefully she will go back to the states when she reaches High School/College. Does the US take IB system?
