how to find the cards lost at school?

In my child's school, they allow children to play cards during recess time, such as the topps Match attax. My child has collected a lot of cards and put all of them in one big binder, but one day he lost the binder at school.The next day, he found it in the lost property but about 90 cards were taken away, among them were his favorites and some of the rare cards he borrowed from his friends. What shall we do now? Maybe they shouldn't play cards at school? Or write name on every card?

Hi Joanneinnyc - so your child loses a binder with his favourite stuff and all the kids should be punished & not be allowed to play? Odd logic. I would have thought this is a great opportunity to remind your child to hang on to the things he cares about - because guess what: people (kids as well!) steal. It's just a fact of life so best he gets used to it. Otherwise, if you request (and the school grants!) that cards be banned, whatever is next? Frustrating that things get stolen but it's just unavoidable in the best of places.
Writing names on cards sounds like a weird idea if they are exchanging them but def better than punishing everyone for your kid's carelessness.

Lots of schools do ban cards because of this. Things to get stolen so its best not to take it to school.
