How much do you spend

on Christmas gifts for your child's pre-school teachers and assistants? Do you also give out red envelopes during the Chinese new year. Any suggestions are appreciated.

a bit late for Christmas but for CNY - as a teacher (and parent), I would expect a little inexpensive present for Christmas (say home baked cookies), and nothing for CNY. I think giving out a red envelope is really too much.

For xmas we give a box of chocolates. And at the end of the year, all the parents pool together and buy a bigger gift.

for the kids kindy teachers i buy them cinema certificates.
i am one of the two class parents for my y2 child's class and the class parents suggested every family donate $100 and with that money we bought the teacher and the EA a present. we will do that again at the end of the year.
