Hi all,
My son is currently attneding G1 at HKIS. Before we moved out to HK from the US last summer, he was put on a wait list at CDNIS and was accepted at HKIS for current school year. We will soon find out whether he will get a place in G2 at CDNIS for 2011-2012.
My son is outgoing, social and has adjusted well to HKIS. He is considered bright and articulate for his age group. But throughout our school search for our son, we heard from various sources that CDNIS has a stronger academic reputation, especially when it comes to univeristy placements in the US/UK. Our move to HK is long-term so we want to make sure that our son is placed in an established 'through-train' school with excellent academic reputation. Does anyone know which school offers a better Mandarin program? This is an important factor to us. We may also consider sending him to a prep/boarding school at age 13, so a school that sufficiently prepares its students for a UK public boarding school or US-type college prep school would be is key.
Thanks in advance for sharing your insight and thoughts!
Warm regards,
