striker i only read the first few lines and that was justification enough for me to fire your helper on the spot- no need to read your pros and cons of her overal performance cos that is nothing compared to the safety of your child. I have 2 helpers to help me out, they are there to help me not stress me out more, so i dont waste time over it - if they dont do as told or there are signs of bickering - one or both will get the boot period.

Our helper isn't allowed to give our children medicine. We administer it ourselves. I would have to terminate a helper who gave my child inappropriate medication. Then I would thank the second helper for finding out and then I would fire both of them for not getting along. Then I would take a look at my lifestyle and living situation and try to make things different so in the future I wouldn't have such problems.

It's horrible! Hiding the medicine does not help, she can easily get the fever or cough medicines over the counter.
If you can't get rid of her immediately, do make it very very clear that this is not tolerable, and quickly find a replacement for her.

Hi
I would terminate her contract. What if you had also given your baby medicine & she was unaware that you had? She could have overdoes your child. Some medicine, even over the counter ones have high toxicity levels for the liver & kidneys of young children . What she did was dangerous. I think it would be difficult to trust her again as what she did was untrustworthy

Please call the Police. You terminate her she may still find another employer. You will give her another chance to do it to another baby and this baby may not be lucky as yours... (over-dose?..)

The more I think about this, the more I realize that what your helper did was potentially very dangerous, not just some abstract risk. Our neighbor's baby recently had a panadol overdose (causes liver damage) because their helper did not record giving the drug to the baby in the book they keep to track all drugs administered to the baby. Then she 'forgot' when she last gave baby the drug and decided to administer an extra dose because the baby was fussy. Then the parents gave the drug again a little while later because they did not know the baby had recently had panadol. The result was a trip to the ER.

I would fire them both. Neither one of them sounds thrustworthy and are causing you too much trouble but especially the first helper. Protect your kids! There are way better helpers out there, you just have to look for them. Ask your friends, maybe they have great helpers who in turn can recommend someone. Good luck!

This must be a prank and if it isn't you should be the first person whose parental rights should be removed, nevermind firing the helper, your first job is to protect your child, please someone tell me this is a bad joke, it's awful to think some children grow up with such parents.
