Has anyone been rejected by ESF? & ...

Seb's Dad!

Haven't seen you guys in ages. Did the Kindergarten try and arrange a 2nd interview for you guys? When we went for the talk on "Applying for P1 and interviews" they had said they would. Where is S now?

ESF kindergarten was super throughout the entire process as we all tried to figure out what had happened in the interview. they forwarded all his reports, the principal and his teacher wrote letters and they encouraged us to petition for a second interview. they were very helpful.

we sent sebastian to small world Christian kindergarten for a year. i cannot recommend that school highly enough.

i will post more!

Hi ... How upsetting for everyone to not know what went on in the interview. I'm so pleased that everything woked out well for your little boy though. Was he at the ESF Kindergarten?

yes he was at the esf kindergarten in sheung wan. they were really really helpful and he had a great time at that school.

Seb's Mom,

My niece went to Small World and really loved it too. Did Seb interview again this year for P1?

A friend of mines son failed interview twice before on the third time getting into an ESF school. He is not English and had to read to a significantly higher standard than my son (who is English).

Millerwhisk,

May I know if your friend applied again and again just as normal applications and queued up as a new application after being rejected? Or is there a faster way to get a second interview again?

Thanks a lot.

Expatriates coming in and reserving a place whilst overseas IS seriously reducing the level of places for residents. Both myself and hubby are Kiwi Chinese and American Chinese and don't read or write chinese. She is a native speaker in English. Its a pretty unfair system as demand for places is too great but when ESF priorities expatriates coming in from overseas as first priority and consider us "local", we don't get a chance. Never mind that its people like us who are funding the schools as taxpayers!!!!
