GSIS, does academic mean no fun?

GSIS is know for its rigorous academics. We are struggling to determine if academic success gives way to enjoyment. Our child loves learning and has been offered a spot for K2 at GSIS. Experienced parents/ students; would you say your child/you found GSIS to be a place you loved going to school, enjoyed learning and developed strong friendships?

That's what I thought, but it is not about academic at all! ( Some parents even complain, they think it should be more academic! ;) ) They have a lots of play time, art, cooking, and so on! No homework of course, like some other IS school. I think even year 2, there is very very little homework. (Secondary school will be different story, I guess. )

Thank you so much mom22. I knew that was the case. Just wanted someone with experience to confirm it. :D Thank you again. We are very excited to be selected for the program.
