German vs IB stream in German Swiss school

We will be relocating to HKG in December and are German nationals. Our son is 5 years old and has been in a bilingual (English / Chinese) Kindergarten in Shanghai for the last 3 years. Currently we have applied for interview on the international stream in the Swiss German school for our son. But I have been hearing stories of kids being pushed very hard in the international stream in German Swiss and was hoping for some more opinions.

GSIS (German School)

I am a German tutor and also run a pre-school for German and non-German kids. Some of the kids are in the German and others in the International stream.
You will find that it depends very much on each child whether or not it feels "pushed". And different parents, different opinions.
I would suggest you better go to the school and have a look for yourself. You may also find it helpful to contact other mothers at the German Ladiesgroup, the contacts are in the webpage of the consulate.
