Anybody knows the background of this school, is it a good ESF school? How's its academic aspects? When I visited its website, I saw a picture with many Indian students, is that true? They have only year 1 to year 6, so where will the students go for the secondary? Your feedback is much appreciated!

Tks, The Quasimother! I hope you won't misunderstand my meaning! I just said what I saw in the picture and want to know the nationality ratios between asians, foreign and indian students in the school. Where will they go after junior school? On the contrary, I also saw many foreign kids pictures in CIS and GSIS' websites, if I ask "are there many foreign students in the school?", they just answer "yes" or "no". I guess your kid is studying in KJS, could you kindly give me any inputs that you know. Tks once more!

No. My child does not study at KJS. I just found the question offensive. And no, I'm not of Indian descent. You did not ask whether there were more foreign children there or there were any other foreign children there. You asked specifically about an ethnic group.

happymam - my kids aren't at KJS, but they are at an ESF school and it would be very difficult to get a breakdown in nationalities for the students. what is the difference between "foreign and indian students"? what are you basing your observation on....passports? skin colour?

from my experience, ESF school are fortunate to be international schools with excellent teachers, and have students from many backgrounds and cultures, including India.

the esf website should be able to provide you the information of the secondary school.

good luck in your decision.

Indian students ARE Foreign students!!!! So what do you mean? I want to help you but your message is not clear.

Our ESF school does provide a breakdown of nationalities in their annual report. A large % is Chinese/HK, then quite large numbers for Koreans, Japanese and Indians, plus then quite a few Brits, followed by some Americans/Canadians/Australians and other nationalities. Most ESF schools have many different nationalities (ours has 40). I am pretty sure the school can tell you.

ESF Primaries feed into ESF Secondaries. I am not sure about Kowloon area, but would think King George V or possibly another one, it's pretty much pre-set based on the area you live in, like the Primaries and the Primary your child attends.
