So the ESF Year 1 interview started this week already, any kid has attended the interview already and any parents can share their experience? Thanks in advance. :)

I posted on the Kids site, but my oldest has a QBS interview next Monday. Today they came to her preschool and together with 3 others (who are also going) they had an informal chat and were told about next week play/interview. My daughter told me next week she's going to make something at her new school, and the "boy" also asked her what her favorite food was ... that kind of stuff. Typical 4 yo stuff. Her English is fine, we're non-native speakers but she has lived in English speaking countries since birth (except for 6 months during the first half of 2008) and has the US nationality as well. I am not expecting any problems. She seemed very positive today.

Mummies,

Thanks for enlightening me! I do hope my son pulls through. He tends not to talk to people he doesn't know.

Never underestimate just how difficult the interview process is for any age group here in HK. Even four or five yr olds can have a tough interview. The best way to prepare for an interview is to do some fun stuff the morning of to build up confidence. Get your kid in a good mood with lots of familiar and fun things. Talk about the interview and explain about it. Perhaps offer an nice incentive or reward. It can be really tough to accept your child doesn't pass but this is HK! The most important thing is that the kids never get negative vibes or ideas about the outcome.
