What are you up to this Easter? We are heading to spend three days with family with a big egg hunt (Sunday morning around the serviced apartment we are staying in) and two 8 hour drives (two kids trapped in a car ... mmmm ... I must be MAD). I have purchased two biggish canvas bags and purchased a bunch of items to put in them for the kids stay amused! Stickers, COlouring in books, microphones, scribble pads...

Oze_Kid,

Where is the big egg hunt near your serviced apartment? We are looking for one for our little one on Hong Kong Island.

There used to be one at Repulse Bay but I don't think they are having one this year due to the renovation.

NVmom - i don't think Oze is in HK. There's a big Easter Egg Hunt in DB and also Wise Kids in Cyberport is organizing something.

Thanks. We are currently back in Australia but I planned the egg hunt myself in our holiday apartment in Sydney.

They are the plastic eggs (well shells) that I got from Toys R Us in Central (the ones that are in two halves. I put rabbit stickers inside some and little baby chicks in three out of the 12). I then got two of the larger plastic eggs (well shell) from the candy store (sorry, can't remember the name but it is Japanese and they have outlets all over HK - I picked up mine for $10 each in Tung Chung last year and am just reusing). Inside these was a little stuffed rabbit from Ikea and a Kinder Surprise egg in Easter theme.

Lastly I put two little baskets with bunny ear headbands in front of their bedroom door, along with a 'note' from some "bunny" (the Easter bunny - will deal with explaining that one next year!) explaining the egg hunt.

Once the girls found the 12 smaller eggs, DH hid the big pink ones with chocolate egg inside. They had a ball!!

Oze, what fun! the girls must have had a blast. we went to an Easter Egg hunt yesterday at a friend's place. She had over 100 eggs hidden around the flat. The kids were so excited. Their easter bags were overflowing with goodies.
