Crying hysterically

Sounds similar for sure, I'll pick her up and she would cry and look like she was looking at me but not registering and continue to cry and when I let her look at the street she would stop crying (worked twice) and then passed out almost straight away

I would disrupt things 15-30 minutes before when they normally happen. Basically you often find the child with their eyes open but not 'awake' or responding like they are awake. Once they do wake up, it's usually a few sniffles and then back to bed.

Thanks everyone for their advice and sharing your experience! LO seemed ok the past 2 nights will observe her pattern! :)

Nursing is probably the best pacifier but I would take out her to the doctor to rule out reflux definitely. My now 15 month old was a terrible sleeper until she started walking. She also loved being close to me as co-sleeping was the best solution for us for night wakings. I co-slept with her for almost an entire year (until I weaned her from night nursing) and now she sleeps thru the night every night in her own bed.

Hi Karhu, same thing happened with my boy when he was a baby. I was co-sleeping with him too like evgreen. I also took him to an osteopath (in Singapore) who specialised in craniosacral therapy on children. I don't know if it really helped, but I did notice a slight reduction in the frequency of the screaming at night. Basically I was desperate, ready to try anything!!! However, you may find that if you give your baby a relaxing light massage before bedtime she may sleep better and happier. Don't worry, she will grow out of it!!

Thanks shaanmom and evgreen! She seems to bit a little better as some nights so doesn't wake up till maybe 4-5.... Or even 6! I will observe her and hopefully she will improve gradually and out grow it in the end :)

Colic maybe?? My nephew had that when he was young.

My 18 month old does that sometimes, not very often. We do not know the reason why, but she would only calm down after I show her some cartoons on my iPad.

Oh the wonderful iPad! Haha!

Colic should be gone by ~4 months? Mine is 9 months! Just had an episode again last night!! Screaming crying even when I was holding her! But doesn't happen very often anymore!! When I nursed her she calmed right down!
