Cry with strangers

My son is now eleven months old and begin to cry when he sees strangers in the elevator. However, he was fine before. He is fine when we go to playground and my friends' house. Does this happened to anyone?

my baby cried since birth until just recently (she's now 19 mths). your son is 11 mths, that's when they started realizing that there are people whom he doesn't know, and it's normal to be afraid of people he's not familiar w/. it's a healthy sign. he;ll grow out of it. don't worry. =)
