Coffee group in Mid Levels for new mums

I have been trying to encourage other mums to sign up for "meetup" but it would seem to no avail. (Come on girls!) As i am back working part time unfortunately i can not take the responsibility to organise but if you can get something up and running pls let me know as i will make time for my daughter and I to join in!

I'm starting back to work f-t on the 5th September but am happy to host something at my place if anyone is interested. I signed up for the Geobaby Meetup and said that I wasn't fussed where we met although I wasn't particularly keen on any of the venues and as only 5 of us voted it was cancelled anyway. If people are interested I could have a word with my the place I do yoga and see if they would be willing to let people use their meeting space whilst there are no classes are going on. There might be a charge for this and I'm not sure what the score would be with insurance - anyway let me know (1) who is interested at coffee at my place (loads of toys and and playmats too keep children interested) and (2) whether those people at Geobaby Meetup would like me to speak with my yoga group.
There are quite a few mums out there that I know who are really keen to meet people as I've met them through the Book Club - they aren't working so I can put other people in touch with them as well so everyone can start to meet with one another.

Okay I'll take the first step at trying to organise something (although at short notice for which I apologise). Are you able to make coffee on Wednesday afternoon? I've a few people that are interested meeting up next week and Wednesday seems like a good day for them. I was thinking 3pm was a good time especially for those people with afternoon nappers.
My place would be the location - toys, a fair bit of space etc. so should suit most people. Anyway e-mail at [email protected] or respond to this thread so I can get an idea of how many people will be able to make it and I can give you my address.

i realize that adequate space is always an issue in hk. my husband is setting up a new american restaurant in the soho area and i suggested to him that during one afternoon per week, he should set up a play area with toys so that mothers can meet up, have some coffee and chat while their kids play together. it would be similar to the preschool group however a little more entertaining for mothers. would anyone be interested? bc i can try to get this started within a few weeks. maybe we can even combine this with a lunch so that working mothers (like me) can join for for a few hours!
