I understand that my kids (entering grade 1 and grade 3) have to do an initial exam to gain entrance. Does anyone know what is covered by these tests? My kids are doing fine in school in Canada. Should I be worried that they do not "pass" this exam.

no, don't worry. it's top make sure that they children can understand enough english to be able to cope with the demands of studying.

also, i believe that the schools prioritise children from the appropriate country (so, canadian school favours canadians etc) could be wrong on this though.

The admissions office mention that a Canadian Passport Holder does not have any priorioty to get into CDNIS. My friend who has a Canadian Passport and Corp. Debenture still does not get into the school. It all depends on the performance during the interview and test results is the key.
