Just wondering if anyone knows whether it is safe to take cough medicine whilst I am breastfeeding? If so, which one can I take? The over the counter ones?
Most cough medicines are fine to take while breastfeeding, although it is advised not to take decongestants. Decongestants dry up bodily secretions and theoretically could also reduce your milk supply. I suggest that if you want to know about a particular product that you ask the pharmacist for a recommendation.
