breastfeeding and mensus

i've noticed that when i have my period, my baby doesn't sleep through the night and wakes several times. but as soon as my period stops, she sleeps through the night again. what's up w/ that?is it the hormones?

Due to the hormonal changes of menstruation, some mothers find that during this time in their cycle, their milk supply temporarily decreases slightly and their emotions might run high.

Some mothers report feeling restless or ?antsy? while nursing during the time around their periods. These feeling usually subside within a day or two.
