hi ladies,

i went to the Ob yesterday for my follow up U/S and the dr said that the embryo hadn't grown and that there was no detectable heartbeat. he said that it seemed that i had miscarried. i've been experiencing lower back pain and slight abdominal discomfort. it's all a shock and quite overwhelming. fortunately, my partner in crime's helped me keep things in perspective.

ninimo, great to hear that your scan's turned out well! i'm also staying in hk over xmas and working ( until tomo - can't wait). Cherina, thanks for your wishes. i've heard that nausea passes. i understand your concern. i hope the scan will put you at ease.

So sorry to hear your news Toasty, just try to remember that something wasn't right, Try and focus on your partner and the holidays for now : )

Cherina, I experienced the same thing with the loss of symptoms and everything was fine! At some point, closer to the 2nd trimester, the nausea disappears...yeah, mine did!

Happy to hear your scan went well Ninimo, its amazing to see the hands and feet the first time!

I went for the detailed scan/OSCAR test yesterday and I'm 12.5 weeks. I was nervous since I'm 34.5 but thankfully my risk was VERY low after the combined blood test/scan : ) Baby was asleep so I had to dance around to wake him/her up so they could measure the fluid behind the neck! Feeling good as I enter the 2nd trimester, hope its all up hill from here although I'm still awaiting confirmation from Matilda...

hi Riley, glad yr scan was good, i am waiting to go for mine mabye in 1 week time. i be 12 weeks then!
i also lost a lot of my symptoms.. apart from the suddenly feeling of v v hungry.. n need to pee alot at nite! everything else is gone! not even that tired anymore!
have u girls gained much weight? i think i gained 4-5 lbs already!

Hi Toasty,
So sorry to hear your sad news. I had a mmc last time and know how upsetting it is. I really wish you the best of luck for next time. I know you probably don't want to be around pregnant people but pm me if you need any support.

I had my scan on Monday and everything was fine. So relieved! I'm 12 weeks exactly today and feeling great other than occasional bouts of hunger. I had to get up early today just to eat breakfast.

Definitely put on weight. I went shopping yesterday and had trouble fitting my expanding belly into my usual size.

i had my week 12 test.. yesterday. all seems good.... but still need to wait for the results from oscar to be back!
So great, i can start to tell people and my work... i think they been thinking. i been getting v v fat!!

so happy got over the 12 week mark!!!

Happy New Year to us and our babies to be!! Congrats on 12 wk scan Ninimo, I'm sure Oscar will be fine! It was nerve racking though...Best wishes to you Toasty, I'm sure you'll be back on this site soon I went yesterday for a scan at 14.6 weeks and got the best news, we're having a girl!!!!! We are thrilled especially since I grew up the only girl with 4 brothers and now I have 8 nephews, 1 niece and our little joy on the way!!!

wah congraats on yr GIRL!!!! at week 14.6 weeks. can already tell? u can buy lots of pretty clothes for her!! i am so excited to find out mine too! i am now just week 14, i plan to see doc around week 15...My oscar test came back and all was good! so not worried there now!

At week 16, is there more detailed scan? or thats just week 20 ?

I have had less symptoms now.... but still a bit tired!

I informed work and close friends... last week.. i feel so much more relieved! i am hoping work let me take more than the 10 weeks off!

Congrats on the little girl! I've got my next scan on monday will be 15.5 so am hoping to find out whether it's boy or girl. Still nervous, especially as my symptoms seem to have gone now (but my bump is getting BIG!)

I am also due in July: 14th. I am on my first and equally daunted by the all the changes!
