Hi,
My nearly 7 year old step daughter is coming out for two weeks in April. This is will be her first visit and we are very excited. We have loads of days out planned but think what she’s really going to want to do is play with other children. We have only just arrived and are just not in the loop with kids activities or know any other parents yet.
Does anyone have a friend for our rambunctious little girl? Any ideas that could introduce her to other English speaking children? We live on Kowloon side, in Tiu Keng Leng but are happy to travel. Your advice is much appreciated.

My kids are a bit old for her (12 & 10) - but I would recommend that you start scouting out your local playgrounds and play areas.

You might also want to bring her to Sai Kung town on the weekend. The square where Jaspas, Ali Oli's & Cru is located is full of kids (many English speaking) on Saturdays and Sundays.

The book "Adventures with Kids in Hong Kong" may also be useful.

Schools are now back in session, so she may lack company during school hours.

You might also take her to some activities at various libraries:

Good luck!

Hi, I have two girls aged 6 and 8 and I'm sure they would like to play with your girl. We are Chinese and can speak English. However, we live in the Shatin area. If your still interested to meet up with us, PM me, so that we can arrange for this coming Saturday.

I live in Metro Town, Tiu Keng Leng and I have a 6-yr old son who's a bit bored because he doesn't have any playmates. He's english-speaking and that's the reason why he's having difficulties making friends when I bring him to the playground. If you're interested, do let me know and I'll send to you my contact details.

I have a 4-yr old son and we live on the island east. If that fits the criteria please pm me with details for meeting up. We have a good collection of Thomas the tank engines if anyone is interested could come play with us together.
