Preschool with small class size

I'm looking for a pre-school on HK Island, preferably Southside, that has a small class size (less than 10:1 student - teacher ratio). Is there such a school in HK??

Thanks ESFMum. Playtent's website doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

Anyway, I chose Southside Kindergarten for my child. The kindergarten seems to have relatively small student teacher ratio. It is a big challenge to find small class-size preschools in HK, i Found.

Southside Pre-School in Repulse Bay, International MOntessori School in Ap Lei Chau, Woodlands would be your choices. Good luck!

Bebegarten in Wong Chuk Hang has 1:8 for preschool but I don't think they start preschool till Aug/Sept. They have more info on the website

There's a new preschool on Caine Rd that should have space

Geo Education Centre

This seems to be operating as a type of tutor school. Its not appearing in the HKG database as a licenced KG or Nursery. Their published programs are not all week or all day. It's a loophole in the regs that is being exploited.

Since this year a licenced KG or Nursery ( 2-3yrs ) has to have fully qualified people, these guys don't.

I went to their presentation last week. Going to be seriously expensive I think.
fyi -1:8 is not special in HK. These lists KGP 2012 give all the details of every REGISTERED KG in HK and shows their ratios.

The likes of GEO Education APPEARS TO BE one of those centers that takes advantage of a loophole in the pre primary legislation. They are not a registered KG or Child Care Center on the HKG list. They only offer short education sessions and not half day or whole day services and so do not have to meet the need - from this year - that all teachers must be qualified to a set standard and the manager must also be a degree holder. THEY MAY - all be so - I am just pointing out the loophole on regulations that some use and the fact that ( under their published name ) they are not on the licences list.
