Hi, Zenith Kowloon Tong Campus offered us a place in their 2013/14 PN class international stream. Does anyone have any comments on this school? Thanks in advance!

My son is studying Zenith Kowloon Tong for PN. He is very happy to go to school everyday. Although this school is not as famous as St Catherine, Keen Ming, Victoria.... I like the environment and the teachers' attitude. They all are very open to communicate, including the Principal, who will stand in front of the entrance "everyday". My son starts speaking phonics and singing mandarin songs. I highly recommend this school, but of course, just like what I say, since Zenith is not a famous school, if you plan to put your child into local primary school, you may need to consider to change when K1.

Hi, thanks for your reply! We are planning to send my boy to IS. I understand that Zenith follows local curriculum. Do you think it is suitable? And how is the English environment at Zenith, compared to the geuine international kindergartens?

My daughter is studying there currently at NC class, meaning K1 international stream.
She totally loves the school and she is very very happy there. Talks a lot and learn many new things there.
She can write almost all alphabets and letters very early. Academically, I think the school is very strong. She can recognize some English words as well as Chinese words. Counting numbers is no problem to her too, think the school does quite good in that, I rarely need to study or revise with her (though I should), but she insists on doing more and more homework every night, she actually loves doing homework and reading books so much that I have to buy her books instead of toys.
In terms of language, it might disappoint you a bit, as it is not their strength, written English is good but not orally. I need to teach her English myself.
But after much consideration, this is a very good school, caring teachers, happy kids, strong academic results, fast progress, we will remain in the school till she finishes her kindergarten.

Hi there! Zenith seems quite strong in curriculum and I also like the school environment. Their Kowloon Tong campus is very nice. Your daughter is a good girl and I think she really fits into the school well. My biggest concern is language presentation indeed, and curriculum actually comes last on my list. I hope my boy can master a good English foundation at this age and perhaps develop his interest in learning. Anyway really appreciate your sharing, it helps a lot!

I do not how to choose, Zenith at Kowloon Tong or William Smart at Whampao for PN class. Zenith has accepted my kid for local stream. If I would like my kid to pursue study in local traditional primary school, I should select international stream or local stream? Please give me some advice. Many thanks in advance.

Hi little princess, don't know if I am replying too late, didnt really check back recently. What I can say is even the international stream is quite local, they just have English lesson in the morning instead of Chinese lesson. If you hope your kid to be able to speak English fluently, then I can tell you this is not what what it could offer you. Kids communicate with each other in their own native languages, that's what I was told by my girl, she told me her classmate speaks to her in mandarin and she will reply them in Cantonese, one or two will speak to her in English and she still reply them in Cantonese. And they will still speak to her in Mandrain. Guess its funny.

Something really bad recently happened in the school, it changes everything, I find it hard to write the whole story here, if u really want to consider this school and want to know more about it, you can pm me.

Best
