Small primary schools

We are probably moving to HK sometime this year and are concerned about getting our eldest child into primary school.

She would start UK primary school (reception class) in September 2008. She is very shy and lacks confidence and I am concerned about the size of the primary schools in Hong Kong.

Can anyone recommend an English speaking (not necessarily UK curriculum) primary school on the southside of the island which is not too big.

I am also concerned about it being too late for her to get into the smaller schools, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

on the south side of lantau is the lantau international school...

as for south side on hk island, there's not much for small schools.

the schools you mentioned are all on south side, but i don't know if i'd call them "small"

i think maybe the montessori schools might be smaller, but they are not on southside...

kennedy school has 900 pupils, definitely not small!

kellett is very small, might be a great selection.

isf in cyberport is another option. it is a new school with great facilities and the parents really seem to appreciate it.

Hong Kong Academy (PYP) is another option small school with small class sizes and it might be moving southside next year.

Isf

It stands for Independent School Foundation Academy and is private independent private school offering primary and secondary education following the IB curriculum. It offers bilingual education with a heavy emphasis on Chinese language in the first 3primary years.

Cyberport is about 20mins in a car from Central and a newly developed area in the south of HK island. All the offices and apartments are newly built and very modern.
