SIS versus ESF

HI
My son has been offer a place as Spore Intl and I would like to seek advice from anyone who had children studying in SIS before and switched to ESF school.
We are currently staying at Happy Valley and I was hoping to get my son into ESF Bradbury for P2. Unfortunately, we have not heard from Bradbury. We were told it was full and he is still on waitlist :-(
I would like to know if there is any problem for the kid to switch school in future given that the curriculum is different.
Plus, i would like to get feedback on SIS. The pros and cons.

Any input is very much appreciated as we need to get back to SIS soon.

Regards
Jurin

Hi,
We finally got an interview with Bradbury. I would like to know more about this school? Any feedback from any parents whose kids are attending Bradbury? How are the teachers? The curriculum etc? Any information would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi
Although my daughter doesn't attend there, we have a lot of friends that do. I'm told it's one of the leading ESF schools (teachers are apparently the highest paid?), has a good reputation. Our friends mentioned two downsides, one being the large class numbers when compared to most international schools (30 kids) and the second , the size of the school (bit intimidating for younger ones). The teachers are mainly Australian, New Zealanders from what I am told and the eduction quality is compared to a good public english education.
Best of luck with your decisions.

Thank you so much for the feedback. WIll probably enroll him in the school for now and see how it all goes from there.

Hi, I just wanted to clarify the information above given by sea princess. All ESF schools have the same pay scale so teachers at all the different schools will be paid on the same scale. Bradbury does not have higher paid teachers than any other ESF schools. All ESF schools have a good reputation none are valued above any others, there is consistency in curriculum teaching etc which is carefully monitored by ESF Head Office. Many of the teachers at Bradbury are also from the UK.
Also, you should be aware that all ESF schools are very over subscribed and it is very difficult to get your child into them.
The curriculum is IB Primary Years Programme. I hope this helps.

What I meant to say, is that the teachers at Bradbury are well paid when compared to international schools! So the quality of teaching is excellent as it tends to have terachers that are happy with their conditions and stay at the school.
Thanks for clarifying for me!
