Four in 10 HK babies born under the knife

My experience in a HK public hospital was much better than anyone I spoke to who gave birth in a private one. Its just prejudice. They do what's necessary and don't lure people into c-sections as private hospitals do to collect more cash. HK public hospitals are really great for maternity and birth and cost absolutely nothing.... So I don't understand why pretentious expats boast with their choice of private as if it was an MBA club and think its so great. Be aware - if you have unusual complications, you will be carted off in the middle of child birth to a public hospital anyway - as they have more extensive facilities and also probably more experienced doctors.
