Any Expat mom?

I just want to know what's experience of settling with your kids in a foreign country ....and how well did you think you do?What are some advices etc

I'm a stay at home mother to one child. I was quite enthusiastic about the move, I knew the society would be different here, & prepared myself for the "culture shock" of moving. I also thought I was not going to be the only stay at home mother. I thought I would easily meet other parents whilst taking my child to the park or meet other parents through extra-curricular activities I have enrolled my son in.
One thing I was not ready for was the overwhelming feeling of being the only parent taking their child to the park. And so far the only parent who gets involved in classes.
I suspect/hope all stay at home expat parents go through this and learn to adapt to the "less hands on" parenting. And feel less socially isolated.
